Local author Patricia Miller will speak at the Dover Public Library on Thursday, May 31 at 6:30 PM. Patricia Miller, of Sugarcreek, published her first book, Joshua: Life After Theos, at the end of 2017. “It provided a way for me to really evoke thought in the reader. The book makes the reader think how our world would look to those from another planet, providing insight into things like stereotypes, prejudice, violence between nations, and people divided by government upheaval.” Miller says it took many years to write and edit the young adult science fiction romance novel where Joshua, an alien from the plant Theos, decides to break the government’s rule to have no contact with Earth. “He basically steals a spacecraft and makes his way to earth but the fun part of it, he doesn’t realize that his ex-girlfriend is secretly stowed away on this craft. Joshua does the unthinkable, he falls in love with a female earthling and he has all kinds of internal struggles.” A book signing will follow the event, which is free and open to all. Cost of the book will be $18. Call the library at 330-343-6123 to register or for more info...
You need to do business, for the most part, with people that you not only respect, but people that you like.
